Terms of Service

Last updated: April 29, 2025

Acceptance

By creating a CVEye account or using any part of the CVEye service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

CVEye monitors the NIST National Vulnerability Database (NVD) and delivers plain-English alerts when newly published CVEs match the software products you have selected. Alerts are sent by email.

CVEye makes best efforts to detect relevant vulnerabilities promptly, but we do not guarantee complete coverage, zero latency, or uninterrupted service. Security decisions should never be based solely on CVEye alerts.

Free trial and paid plans

New accounts receive three free alert emails, with no credit card required. After the trial, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue receiving alerts.

  • Yearly plan — billed annually. You may cancel at any time; no refunds for partial periods.
  • Lifetime plan — a one-time payment that grants access for the lifetime of the service.

Prices are listed on the CVEye website and in the sign-up flow. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use CVEye for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service.
  • Share account credentials with others.
  • Use alert data to harm others or assist in security attacks.

Intellectual property

CVE data is sourced from the NIST NVD, a public US government database. Plain-English summaries generated by CVEye are provided to you for personal use; you may not reproduce or resell them without permission.

CVEye and its name, logo, and design are the property of CVEye and may not be used without permission.

Disclaimer of warranties

CVEye is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or complete. Your use of the service is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CVEye shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the service. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@cveye.net.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CVEye is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
